You cut profiles to size, bend and form components, and install the finished structures directly into the track-building machines, which weigh up to 84 tonnes.
A good intermediate secondary school certificate (Realschulabschluss) or lower secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) – your manual skill and your motivation count for more than a perfect set of grades.
A genuine fascination for metal, fire, welding and working with heavy tools – you want to master steel.
A good spatial imagination, so you can mentally turn engineering drawings into 3D and assemble the finished parts with an exact fit.

Good German language skills, so that coordination on the shop floor and reading technical documents run smoothly.
