During your 2-year apprenticeship, you learn the hands-on fundamentals of metalworking. You are right there in the thick of it, getting stuck in.
You learn the fundamental techniques such as cutting, bending, drilling, filing and grinding various metals and components.
You join individual parts into mechanical assemblies according to technical drawings, which are later installed in our track-laying machines weighing up to 84 tonnes.
You learn how to handle modern tools and fixtures safely, maintain your equipment and take charge of quality control on the workpieces you produce.
A good lower secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) – your diligence and motivation count for more than a perfect set of grades.

Yes, absolutely! Right at the start of your apprenticeship, we fully kit you out with high-quality work clothing and your personal protective equipment. In our production, you work exclusively with professional high-end tools.
We will not leave you alone with the material. Our experienced master craftsmen and technicians take the time to practise hands-on techniques with you and prepare you intensively for both the theoretical and practical final examination.
