Over your 3.5-year apprenticeship, you are shaped into a sought-after specialist for the entire electrical inner workings of our rail service vehicles and special machines.

Installing & maintaining systems
You learn the proper assembly, wiring and installation of complex electrical systems and control cabinets, as well as their regular maintenance.

Testing hardware & software
You dive deep into control technology. You install software components, commission hardware and put programs (e.g. PLC controls) thoroughly to the test.

Working with special machines
You learn to safely handle our highly innovative special machines weighing up to 84 tonnes and accompany their electronic functional testing.

As an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering, do I also need to be able to program?
Don't worry, you don't need to know this in advance! That is exactly what you learn with us during the apprenticeship. Step by step, we show you how hardware and software interact in control technology.
Will my work clothing be provided by the company?
Yes, absolutely. Right at the start of your apprenticeship we kit you out completely with high-quality, safe work clothing and your personal protective equipment. All the high-end measuring tools are also available to you in the company.
How does the support for the exams work?
We do not leave you alone with the theory and practice. Our experienced technicians and master craftsmen take the time to go through complicated circuits with you and prepare you intensively for Part 1 and Part 2 of your final exam.
